Our Programs

WLIS is dedicated to quality Islamic Education in an Islamic environment. Our school helps shape the student's first and lasting ideas about themselves, their religion, their country, their culture, and the world. It ensures the preservation of their Muslim identity. Our school's mission is crucial to the growth of Islam, especially in the development of our "Future Leaders" and the continuity of our traditions.

It is our goal to develop in each student a love for and understanding of Allah (swt) and Islam and to nurture the identity of each child as a confident and faithful Muslim. We hope to accomplish these goals through Islamic and Quranic studies.

The students receive instruction in these areas with specialized teachers, using a series of text materials. The teacher follows a sequential program in which students develop their reading and writing abilities. The programs emphasize various themes, from basic beliefs to stories of the Prophets to moral values and ethics. Verses from the Quran are selected according to these themes for students to understand and memorize as part of the curriculum. Chapters from the Quran are also taught according to age-appropriate meaning.
